Starfest was a huge success. It was fun to see so many happy faces. I even got to see many former students. It was a great time! Thanks for supporting our school and our PTA. It truly takes a village.
We had a wonderful time with our WATCHDOG Mr.s Gibson this week. I failed to take a picture! Thanks for the soccer support and help in the classroom. We appreciate you sacrificing your time for us.
Most of you have turned in your field trip forms and money. I will send out an email on Monday with the chaperones. Anyone is welcome to meet us at the park for lunch before the movie. You would just have to drive your own car. Only the designated chaperones may ride the bus.
They have attempted to fix our air conditioner in our classroom. Apparently, our classroom is on the same circuits as the hallway being renovated so things impact us too. I am staying on the maintenance guys and they are now my best friends. I will continue to work hard to keep our classroom environment as comfortable as possible.
The FMHS theatre did not advance at area competition. So, it is the end of the road for them. Thank you for your well wishes and kind words as I went and was able to support my daughter.
Have a great weekend! My daughter from South Carolina flew in and we are going to see Hamilton at Fair Park. Fun times!

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Language Arts-We are still poetry. The kids are putting together their own poetry notebooks.
Science-We looked at animal adaptations and habitats. The kids even created their own new animals and described the habitat and needs of that animal.
