Library Books

Dear Whitesides Families,

We are so fortunate to have a new librarian, Mrs. Brown. She is passionate about keeping our library up-to-date and helping students find that just-right book. Unfortunately, we have $950 worth of library books that have not been returned. This is a huge loss for our school. We ask that if you have unreturned books, please return them to the school immediately. If you have lost the book(s) or they have been ruined, there is a fine associated with this. If it is a financial hardship to pay the fine for the book(s), Mrs. Brown has kindly offered a READ-OFF contract for students. Your child can agree to read 20 minutes for every $1 owed. It is so important that students take responsibility to care for the books they check out and return them in a timely manner. If your child has a book that needs to be returned from last year, they will not be able to take books home from the library until the contract has been completed or the books are paid for. Students can always access SORA online at home if they don't have access to reading materials. READ-OFF contracts will be sent home this week.

Demographic and McKinney-Vento Forms

If you have not returned the Demographic Form and the McKinney-Vento Form that were sent home, please do so this week. Be sure to sign each form on the signature line. Thank you!
