Frost Flower Definition
Any of a group of delicate clusters of ice crystals that form directly from water vapor, typically on the surface of sea ice.
How they are formed
Frost Flowers are formed when thin layers of ice come out of long stemmed plants in the early winter. When there is sap inside a plant and it freezes, it expands and cracks open the plant. When the cracks form then water then comes out but instantly freezes and forms the frost flowers petals. The petals are very sensitive and can break to the touch.
