Noun Phrase
A noun phrase is where a noun is put into a sentence to create a scene using a character or a noun, which is then joined by a verb phrase to create a sentence EX: Bob is working on a project.
Verb Phrase
A verb is where a verb is put into a sentence to create a verb phrase and to add an action that the character is doing, and when combined with a noun phrase it creates a sentence. EX: John is running around the track.

Articles are words that further defines nouns EX: A, An, The

I, is a pronoun because if someone didn't use I as a pronoun then they would be talking in third person or talking in a sentence and using their name instead of using "I". You can differentiate between a linking verb and an action verb by not using am, is, are was, were, being, been and instead replacing it with an action verb.
