School Board RecognitionJanuary is School Board Recognition Month and Bowie ISD is honored to celebrate its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district’s schools and students. Our school board members are selfless volunteers who spend long hours working to ensure all of our students have the opportunity to learn and grow. Celebrating School Board Recognition Month is one way to say thanks for all they do. | Bowie ISD Gives Back Each holiday season Mr. Enlow allows staff to wear jeans for a small donation to the Bowie Mission and God's Table. BISD has a very giving staff, and we were able to collect $2,658 for those in need in our local community. Each local organization will receive a check for $1,329 from Bowie ISD employees. | Dangers of Fentanyl & Opioids Bowie ISD encourages all parents/guardians to have a conversation with their children to talk about the dangers of fentanyl and opioids. As a district, we are providing our community with facts, warning signs, and background knowledge so that you can share them with your children and keep them safe. Click on our district webpage dedicated to this topic, watch the 2-minute video, and read the information to have this critical conversation. |

Bus Expectations
Appropriate student behavior is as necessary on a school bus as in the classroom. Unlike a teacher, however, the bus driver is occupied primarily with driving the bus through traffic in all kinds of weather. Passengers will have a safe, pleasant trip when appropriate student behavior is maintained on the bus.
Riding to and from school daily is a privilege, not a right. This privilege may be taken away if a student does not adhere to bus safety expectations and cooperate with the driver and other school personnel at all times.
A student being transported in school-owned vehicles is required to comply with the Bowie ISD Student Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with the SCOC or established safety rules while on school transportation may result in restrictions or forfeiture of transportation services and disciplinary action. To view, the BISD Bus Expectations, see pictures below.
As we enter the second semester of school, it would be appreciated if all parents/guardians review the bus expectations with their child.
