Husky Happenings
April 16-21
From Mr. Martin
I would like to reflect on the week. Tuesday of this week we were able create great ‘energy’ in the area of both athletics and fine arts. When I talk about energy, I specifically am talking about events that create passion. We hope this passion leads to ‘lifelong learner’ events. First, our band, choir and orchestra toured all day. Second, our track meet involved over 130 students. Both of these events involved a large number of our student and staff. The amount of planning, skill, and passion necessary to pull off successful events is awesome. This was a great week for TRMS.
We were outside on Wednesday and Thursday before school. Remember, if the weather is above 40 degrees then we are out front in the AM. Students are allowed to come in and eat breakfast at 7:45.
Drop off on the side of the building we share with Grand Star is not allowed. Remember, only buses are in the parking lot between TRMS and Grand Star. Tuesday was a rough day in the PM due to our track meet. The difficult days are when we have events at the football field.

From Nurse Collins
**ATTENTION 6TH GRADE PARENTS**
All 7th grade students will need their Tdap immunization to start 7th grade. It is required per Kansas law. Make those doctor’s appointments now to avoid the summer rush! Please turn in documentation to the nurse that your student has had the immunization. If you are unsure if your student needs this vaccine, please feel free to give the nurse a call to check or you can verify it in Skyward.
*REMINDER- The school does not carry any allergy medications. Please make sure your student is taking their allergy medications at home if prescribed or needed.
Students are going to be going through some state testing in the upcoming weeks. Please make sure your children are getting a good night’s sleep before testing dates and that they are eating a nutritious breakfast. Teens need about 8-10 hours of sleep per night!
The Health Room is in need of gently used girl’s/women’s pants, shorts, leggings and new underwear size 14-16 in Girls or size Small or Medium in Women’s. We also need boy’s/men’s pants, jeans or shorts sizes 12, 14, 16 or smaller men’s sizes. Thank you for your donations!
