Belmont Elementary: A PAWSitive Place to Learn!
September 4, 2015
What a week!
Your kids have made my week! The energy in the building is fabulous, and the kids have really taken their DREAM Team membership to heart! They've learned how to Dive In, be Resourceful, Elevate others, take an Attitude check, and Make a difference. During yesterday's early childhood fun run, there was an entire group of 2nd & 3rd graders lined up on the playground cheering on our sweet 3-year-olds. Talk about elevating others! I don't know how many of the preschoolers even noticed as they joyfully walked, skipped and ran around the track, but it certainly brought a tear to my eyes and pumped up this principal's heart. Our bulldogs are the best. I've heard so many compliments from our Apex Team about how the students are teaching them. Thank you for sending us such great kids. They make a difference at Belmont every single day.
While I'm thinking of it, let's keep that great attendance going, as well! It's your child's job to be at school learning, and your job as a parent to get them here, ready to learn. Although we may all have to miss sooner or later for illness or an important family event, regular school attendance as a priority sets the stage for successful grown-ups with a strong work ethic. The classroom experience just isn't very easily replicated through make-up work, and let's face it- this place just isn't the same without every face in attendance every day. District policy does require permission from the building principal for extended absences. To make sure we're all on the same page regarding tardies and absences, you may expect to receive a letter from me whenever records show your child to be out of compliance. Let's build strong habits now so we don't have to re-teach them later. Thank you!
Party Invitations! Play dates! Carpools! SO MANY REASONS to be in the PTO Student Directory!
It’s time again to gather your information for publication in the Belmont PTO Student Directory. Participation in the school directory is purely voluntary but by submitting a form you authorize your information to be shared with our Belmont Family. The information will not be shared publicly on the website and will only be distributed via Mrs. Hargrove through the district’s skyward family access accounts. Parents may choose to access it through their account, save it to a personal computer, or print a copy to keep handy when it's time to send birthday invitations or schedule a play date for your child. YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE LISTED IN THE DIRECTORY IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION ON THE FORM BELOW! This is important because policy does not permit the school to share directory information for all students, nor do we allow party invitations to be passed out at school unless every child in the class is invited. Being in the directory helps our community stay connected! Don't delay! Do it today!
Follow these easy steps:
1) Click on the link or copy and paste it into your web browser
2) Complete the form for your Belmont student. If you have more than one student at Belmont, complete a separate form for EACH student. If your student has more than one address, complete one form for each address.
3) Your child’s name, teacher and grade are the only required fields. Everything else is optional.
4) Submit the form by Friday, September 4th! That's TODAY! Do it!
