Conflict
A problem or interference by a person with the achievement of another persons goal.
Desireable
A small amount of conflict that is sometimes beneficial because it may give employees the challenge and stimulate new idea.
Example: Having two ideas the group cannot decide on and having a manager make a decision.
Undesirable
When the actions of any person or group interferes with the goals of the organization.
Example: Going over budget when you agreed not to.
How can an desirable conflict lead to an undesirable conflict?
Both business partners may have good ideas and eventually if they cannot decide on a decision, eventually action will be taken and the plan will not go as planned.
