Sacred Text and Writing
- There are two main scared texts
- The Quran contains surahs (verses) in Arabic
- States that Muslims must worship only one god and explains how they must respect the others around them
- Hadith is a book that describes Mohammed's life, prescribes laws for the Quran, and explains how to perform certain rituals
- Muslims own calendar called the Lunar
Holy Days
- Id Al-Fitr: A fast breaking festival
- Id al-Adha: The festival of sacrifice
- The Day of Judgement: When good people go to heaven while bad people go to hell
Religious Leaders
- They call their religious leaders the Imam
- They most likely lead worship services and provide guidance.

- 940 Million are Sunni
