The Good News - June 5, 2022
Saint John XXIII Catholic School 2021-2022
Pentecost Sunday
Pentecost is considered the birthday of the Church - Peter, the first Pope, preaches for the first time and converts thousands of new believers. The apostles and believers, for the first time, were united by a common language, and a common zeal and purpose to go and preach the Gospel.
As we celebrate Pentecost today the Gospel reminds us that the Holy Spirit has the power to reach every one of us and surround us with peace and faith.
May the Holy Spirit move in your life today and always!!!

Planning for the 2022-2023 school year!
Please let the office know if your family is moving and won't be attending St. John XXIII (or St. John Paul II) for the next school year as we are planning for the 2022-2023 school year. You are not required to submit a new registration form if you are returning next year.
Grade 4: One-to-One Technology
Students entering grade 4 in the fall will need to bring a device to school as another tool for learning. EICS recommends Chromebooks as the ideal device due to price, battery life, fast startup, and usability.
A Year to Remember...2021-2022 St. John XXIII Yearbook
The St. John XXIII Catholic School Yearbook Committee is pleased to announce that it’s that exciting time of year again! It’s yearbook time! It is bursting with photos, student portraits, activities, highlights, and of course, space for special memories.
Details will be sent home this week.
EARLY DEPARTURES and REPORTING ABSENCES
If your child will be leaving school early, please submit the early departure or leave and return absence in school messenger as well as letting your child's teacher know.
A reminder for all families that the AHS Daily Assessment needs to be completed and actioned each morning prior to coming to school. If your child is experiencing symptoms please choose:
- “Flu-like symptoms”
- “Other Illness or Injury” If they are experiencing symptoms that you do not deem to be flu-like, or your child has a medical appointment.
- “Parent Excused.” If your child is experiencing no symptoms at all, please choose this. The parent excused absence should only be chosen if you are keeping your child home for a reason that does not pertain to a medical issue. (i.e dance competition, vacation)
Thank you for your diligence and cooperation with this.
