UPCOMING EVENTS

Missouri Boys & Missouri Girls State

The American Legion Boys State of Missouri and the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Missouri Girls State are statewide leadership and citizen training programs for students who have completed their junior year and have distinguished themselves as leaders in their school. Missouri Boys/Girls State is a 1 week summer experience on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO held June 24 -July 1, 2023.

Note: Students can self-select by filling out the application but must be nominated by LHS. The number of students who can go is dependent upon the number of available sponsorships.

Community Scholarship Program

Liberty Public School District is proud to bring back the Community Scholarship Program again this year!

The Community Scholarship Program is a program designed to provide seniors in our community with over 35 scholarship opportunities in 3 easy steps. We have partnered with some amazing organizations that want to help our Liberty High School and Liberty North High School seniors advance their education. Scholarships will be available to students who want to attend college and trade schools. The application opens December 1, 2022. Click HERE for more information.

KC SCHOLARS is Coming!

Freshmen and Juniors! The KC Scholars Application will open January 9th! Click HERE to find out what you can do NOW to prepare for the Scholarship Application.

Local & Regional Scholarships Available

Local & Regional Scholarships continue to come in! Check your Naviance Account under the College Tab and select Scholarship Search to see what is available. You might set a reminder to check back each week! Remember Scholarships are available for many different reasons, not just merit based. New Additions include: KC Crime Stoppers, KMBC Scholar Athlete or The 2023 Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) scholarship.

Grow Your Own Teacher Program

Applications are now available for the LPS Grow Your Own Teacher Program! The program is designed for students of color who will be graduates of the Liberty Public Schools and are interested in pursuing careers in education. Components of the program include: financial support, professional learning seminars, work experiences, mentor support and job placement upon successful completion of all requirements for teacher certification and criteria of the program. OFF-CAMPUS OPPORTUNITIES

Career Center Shadows!

Sophomores & Juniors interested in attending one of our career centers next year can now sign up to shadow their program of interest! Shadows are required as part of the application process. Please see Mrs. Allison in the counseling center to set up a shadow. More information can be found on our website HERE

Northland Caps (NCAPS) Information

The NCAPS application for the 2023-24 school year is LIVE!! It can be found by clicking HERE. There is a banner at the top of the site with the link to apply. It will be open until February 10, 2023. NCAPS will be having a showcase event on Monday, December 12th at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The classes will be there to present and answer questions for prospective students. If you are needing to be outside of the time listed, not a problem, they will be there in the AM until 10:00 am and PM until 2:30 pm.

Schedule Changes

The second semester is quickly approaching!
All schedule change request forms are due by January 6 at 3PM. We are unable to change FLEX hours to accommodate requests. Schedules change requests are not guaranteed due to minimal course availability. Requests to switch teachers or hours for classes are unable to be accommodated.

LHS TUTORING OPTIONS

Teachers Visit with your teacher for their specific Tutoring availability. Typically before and after school during their contracted time.

Tutoring Club

Tutoring club is a free resource for students at LHS to get extra help or simply refine their skills through subject-certified student tutors. Sign up HERE.
