Grand Cities Children's Choir

Welcome to the 18th concert season for the Grand Cities Children's Choir!

If you are new to our program we thank you for entrusting your singer with us and hope that you will see the benefits, both musical and non-musical. If you are a returning parent, thank you for your continued support of your singer in GCCC!

This year our season theme is "Music Speaks." We will be exploring ways that music, and in particularly singing, allows us the opportunity to express those thoughts, emotions, and dreams that we want to share with those who hear our performances. Our hope is to move our audiences to recall, think, or feel. Your applause will tell us if we have met our goal.

So, welcome one and all! Here we go! Here's to song!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our wonderful Accordo Voce director, Danielle Larson, is not able to return to GCCC this year. She is beginning a Masters Degree in Music Education, serving as Vocal Music Instructor at Valley Middle School, and continues her most important roles of being a wife and a mother. We truly appreciate the energy, musicianship, and numerous special gifts that Mrs. Larson has given to our singers for the past 6 years!

We are pleased to say that we have hired Mrs. Allyse Dunnigan to be our new Accordo Voce director. Allyse is the current Vocal Music Instructor at Schroeder Middle School. She is married to Kyle and has a beautiful little girl named Eloise. Mrs. Dunnigan is jumping into this position with both feet and lots of enthusiasm. We appreciate your patience with us as we get group email lists set up and get into a routine in order to get our year off the ground. Our Accordo parents will get an opportunity to meet her at the brief meeting on Sept. 12th, Parent Registration Night at 8pm on September 12th .

Big picture

Each week your conductor will send you an email prior to each Thursday rehearsal. The email will remind you that we have rehearsal, where the rehearsal will be held, what students need to bring, and any other important information. If your singer is unable to attend rehearsal that week, simply reply to that email so that the conductor may plan accordingly.

You may also find some general information and reminders on any of our social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Our website can also provide answers

We believe that information is power and our intent is to make sure that you have the information you need. We hope you will share with us the information we need to help your singer succeed and to help our program grow!
