More reading in the classroom
Interviewing Sydney S.
Interviewing My Friend
I interviewed my friend Sydney she is in fourth grade with me, the first question I asked her “Do you want more reading in the classroom why/why not?” Sydney said “Yes, because reading calms her down and you need to read a lot of things in the world to know what you're doing so practicing reading is good for your brain.” The second question I asked her was “Do you think reading helps your brain concentrate?” Sydney's answer was “Yes, because when you read you learn new things that you need to know later on in life.” The third question I asked her was “If we do have more reading in the classroom would books help you read harder words?” And this was Sydney's answer “Yes, because whenever you read you can read harder words in the book and that can help you understand the words and read harder words.” So then the very last question that I asked Sydney was “Doesn't more reading in the classroom get some of the students higher reading lexile Score?” Sydney replied “Yes, because when ever you read its helping you with your reading skills.” And so that was the end of my interview with Sydney.
Books help us read harder words
One reason that we should have more reading in the classroom is that books helps us read harder words. For example, when I started to read I started out with small books then got medium books, and last big size books, then any size books. By starting out with small books then getting a higher books is that the higher the books you read then you can read higher reading words! Books help us read harder words because you keep reading hard books to harder books to even HARDER BOOKS! That can get you a higher reading lexile score. When you read you can keep on doing it and know many unknown words and if the text has small printing, tall pages, or long chapters you can practice reading some of those books and get into them to get a higher reading lexile score. When my mom used to read to me when I was little, she would come to a word in a book, she would put her finger on the word and challenge me to say it or sound it out.
Higher reading score!!
There are many reason’s we should have more reading in the classroom. The books help us read harder words, helps our brain concentrate, and last reading helps you get a higher reading score! So that`s why we should have more reading in the classroom, and don’t forget Reading is Riding Off the Hook!
