Thanksgiving blessings to one and all

Thanksgiving blessings to one and all! It is that time of year when we give thanks for those things in our life that just are not things. For family, friends around the table, health and safety to those traveling near and far and for those that can not celebrate with us this Thanksgiving.

December is going to be a very busy month! We start off the month with Picture retakes and our CHRISTMAS SHOPPE. A great way for students to make Christmas purchases. Your help is needed if you have any time to here to sign up to help out!

Report Cards are ready for viewing...

Report cards are now available for your viewing. We have had some technical glitches. Thank you for your patience. Please review SAS handbook policy regarding probation below regarding grades lower than a C.

Academic Probation: A student whose academic performance indicates serious deficiencies may be placed on academic probation. Students on academic probation will be placed on a four week improvement plan. At the end of the four weeks (January 10), the student’s academic progress will be assessed and a new plan will be developed if needed. Students whose average is a D or lower will not be allowed to participate in any sport or academic competition until the grade has improved to a passing grade of C.

Attendance: The school policy regarding excessive absence (40) days or the equivalent of 40 days including tardies, (three (3) tardies are considered a one-half day absence). can be cause for a student to be retained in the current grade for another year.

Hearts For Heat Bake Sale

Thank you to all that participated, cooked and made purchases this year in our Hearts for Heat Bake Sale. This is a middle school-wide service project that students in 6,7, and 8 participate in each year. The service project is known as Hearts for Heat. This service project assists the elderly parishioners who need help purchasing home heating oil.

All profits from this endeavor go directly to the purchase of oil for members of our parish. This year we were able to raise over $900 that will directly benefit our church family.

Thank you very much for your consideration and participation in such a worthwhile program.

Socks For Santa - 175 items collected so far!

The third grade students have begun our annual 2 month service project in which we will be collecting new white cotton or thermal socks or cotton underwear to be distributed to homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and the elderly of our community.

We often don’t realize or simply forget that those in need have needs other than the need for food.

It is our hope that each student will participate by bringing a small package of socks or underwear each month ( November, and December) to be collected by third grade students. All donations will be given to Montachusett Home Care for distribution to residents who live in our school community area.

A small package of socks or underwear each month is a small price to pay for knowing that the elderly in our neighborhoods are going to be warm this winter.

Please consider helping those who are in need of socks or underwear for the cold winter ahead.

Thank you!
