When a person gets rabies in todays society they are almost guaranteed to survive. But only if they seek medical attention right away. If you don't seek help you will die a slow, painful death. By the time you begin to show symptoms it's already to late. The chances of surviving a rabies infection is less than 5%. Even if by some miracle you do survive you will most likely suffer from severe brain damage for the rest of your short life. Rabies translates to madness.
