As incredible as it seems, we have reached the second half of senior year for the Class of 2022. Time is flying by and we wanted to provide you with a range of updates, events, and opportunities that will be coming up as you prepare for graduation and your life after high school.

We are here to support you each step of the way and encourage you to continue to reach out for support!

Please Vote for the Class of 2022 Special Event

This year Steinert's Class of 2022 in partnership with the After-Prom Committee, will be hosting a special event for the Class of 2022. This will be in place of the traditional After-Prom celebration hosted on Steinert's campus.

We are collecting student and parent/guardian feedback about what type of event would be most special to you all!

Class of 2022 Graduation will be held on Monday, June 20th at 7:30 PM at the CURE Arena.

Spring Sports Are Here

Scholarship opportunities are posted daily to the Class of 2022 Guidance Google Classroom, to the Scholarships Page on the Steinert Guidance website, on the television display in the library, and on the bulletin board outside of the Guidance office.

Many community organizations are now collecting applications from students who will attend a two or four-year college next year!

Senior Awards

In early April, seniors will complete our Steinert Scholarship committee application. This single form is used to determine who will receive many community-based scholarships and awards.

We will honor the Class of 2022 Senior Award & Scholarship recipients at our evening event on June 9th at Rider University. Students will be invited individually to attend this special event.

The deadline for ordering is May 4th, 2022 and the cost is $80.

Please see Mrs. Rogers with any questions. Yearbooks will be distributed during Class Night on June 14th.

Mercer County Community College Enrollment

Students who wish to apply to Mercer County Community College should participate in our virtual information session with the MCCC admissions advisors on March 10th at 10:00am in the library.

Following the session, our Guidance Counselors will assist students with completing the Mercer County Community College application for admission and the completion of transcript request forms.

Later in the spring, students can schedule an academic advising appointment with MCCC staff to register for Fall 2022 courses.

Military Enlistment & Military Academy

If you are a senior who wants to learn more about enlistment and/or military academy options, a meeting with a military recruiter can be arranged through your guidance counselor.

ASVAB Testing

The ASVAB test is a standardized test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success.

The test will be offered at Steinert on April 13th and May 11th during school hours. Seniors may want to take the test to qualify for vocational training within the military or to obtain a cut score for graduation.

Parents/guardians or students 18 years or older may use this registration form for the ASVAB test administration.

Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)

As a reminder, all students attending college next year should complete the FAFSA or Free Application for Student Aid.

On Wednesday, March 23rd, a virtual Financial Aid session will be presented virtually by the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority at 7:00 PM. Please use this link to attend the event.
