5th and 6th Grade Math

Sumner Attendance Center

5th Grade

Fifth graders will continue working with place value this week. We will spend this week reviewing the first 3 lessons in class. Students should have brought home a place value chart to study last Friday. There will be a quiz over this exact chart on Thursday.

5th grade assignments for the week can be found here. Homework helpers and videos can be found on the 5th grade website.

6th Grade

This week, sixth graders will continue learning about ratios. We will begin this week by working with word problems. By the end of the week, we will be finding the value of ratios.

6th grade assignments for the week can be found here. Homework helpers can be found on the 6th grade website. I hope to have videos up soon as well.

Any assignment that has a "Please Correct" stamped or written on it can be corrected and turned back in for partial credit. This can be done with assistance from a parent or teacher. The new work must be shown to get credit!

Students who have completed xtramath will receive the math award at the end of the school year. Students may work on this at home. They will need to log in with my email address, their first name, and their PIN which should be given to them this week.

Students may also work on Zearn (5th grade) or Front Row (6th grade) at home for extra practice. Fifth graders should have their username and password for Zearn. The class code for 6th grade is K754LL for Front Row.

If your child needs extra help with math, he or she may come to my room before school. I am at school by 7:40 each morning.
