One Child Policy
Before the 20th Century families in China were allowed to have as many children as they wanted. But soon after families having kids the population growth expanded rapidly. Crops and goods were starting to disapear because of the population growth. So the government made a rule with the a'One Child Policy". Families were only allowed to have one child and if they have another one without permission then will have severe punishments and consequences such as maybe the child being adopted to another family who doesn't have one
