Miller's Firsties
A Holiday Update
In math we have been working on place value. Identifying the values of digits in a number and drawing numbers with ten sticks and ones. We also are greater than, less than, and equal to masters! Way to go us!
First grade is making a small skills packet for you to work on over the break. This is NOT mandatory but is a great way to keep up your child's reading and math skills over the two weeks we are off of school. If your child chooses to complete these few things and they return it after the break they will earn a special surprise! I will let them pick from some choices such as a homework pass, lunch with a friend, etc.
Reminders about the rest of the week!
Thursday is Reindeer Day! We will be doing lots of activities with everyone's favorite animal this time of year! We will also have a small class celebration today!
Friday is POLAR EXPRESS DAY!!! Everyone should come in their favorite Christmas pajamas and get ready to board the Polar Express!
I will try and send some pictures from these last few days so everyone can see all the fun things that we are doing!
Have a great break at home with your families and Mrs. Sulek and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! See you in January 2016!
