From one hardship to the next, The men are saved, but not by they're own armies, The men are taken to a local Japanese prison camp and threatened with execution The men refuse to allow they're spirits to be broken and are eventually moved to a punishment prison camp on mainland japan. The men are beaten and starved yet still refuse to give up. Eventually our hero runs into his biggest trial during this long ordeal a man know to the prisoners very simply as the bird. This man refuses to allow louie to live a life in peace instead deciding to make his every waking hour hell.Eventually the wars end comes and louie is freed but the scars of the war follow him for many years until one day he decides to become a born again christian and forgive all of his one time captors.
