The cozy neighborhood Park Slope spot The Sackett opens its full bar and microphone to the local writers of VONA, the only multi-genre workshop for writers of color in the country. Come hear evocative, complex and engaging work while celebrating the release of VONA's new anthology, DISMANTLE.

Dennis Norris II

Dennis Norris II is a graduate of Haverford College and holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. He has won several awards and fellowships for his short fiction from the Vermont Studio Center, the Hurston/Wright Foundation, and the NYS Summer Writers Institute. He attended VONA in 2011, and lives in Brooklyn, where he is currently at work on a novel.
