What's your favorite book? Click here to let us know your favorite titles, and we'll display them in the library throughout the year.
Classes Visiting the Library
- Ms. Perez, Ms. Quintanilla, Ms. Melero, and Ms. Christian's English III classes enrolled in Turnitin.com, accessed their Google accounts, and learned how to use Google Drive and Google Classroom.
- Ms. Roark, Ms. Schaub, and Mr. McCollum's English IV classes came for instruction on how to access and utilize databases for their social issues research project.
- Mr. Poulter's Math Models classes researched Archimedes, Hooke, and Boyle.
- Mr. Thompson's Professional Communications classes used library technology to design and create flyers and presentations.
- Ms. Mendez's English classes learned how to use Google Drive and Google Classroom, then completed a WebQuest about the human brain.
- Ms. Ramirez's Principles of Health Science classes used library databases to research ancient medicine and people who made a difference in medicine.
- Ms. Davidson, Mr. Hernandez, Ms. Fager, Ms. Hafemeister, Mr. Hilbig, and Ms. Blanchard brought their Freshman classes for Freshman Library Orientation. Ms. Milton and Mr. Lynch's classes will have orientation next week.
- Ms. Hammack, Ms Goodloe, and Ms. Reed-Martinez brought their English classes to check out books for independent reading.
- Ms. Adkins and Ms. Reed-Martinez's English classes learned how to access and explore databases on the library website.
- Ms. Purcell's Professional Communications class used desktop computers to access the Kuder Program.
- Ms. Tang's Japanese classes utilized computers for Japanese practice.
- Ms. Hawkins French class created tutor.com accounts with their San Antonio Public Library cards.
- Ms. Desperoux's English classes typed and printed essays using desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks.
Recent Events
Texas Teen Book Festival
Roosevelt students traveled to Austin for the Texas Teen Book Festival! Selfies with authors were taken, books were signed, and a great time was had by all!
Pruitt Library Volunteens Start the Year
Pruitt Library Volunteens (Teen Volunteers) went through orientation and began earning community service hours this month.
Coffee Talk with Dr. Gottardy
NEISD Superintendent Dr. Brian Gottardy visited with community members on Wednesday, September 9th.
National Library Card Month
Molly Pruitt Library and Bibliotech staff help Roosevelt students sign up for library cards in the TR Cafeteria.
Batman Day
Teens and Kids enjoyed old-school Batman videos, crafts, and fun to celebrate Batman Day.
S.P.A.R.K (Science Propelling Amor for Reading Kinesthetically)
Science concepts come to life as children explore through stories and experiments. This month, Roosevelt teacher Misty Belmontez taught kids to make play-doh!

From the Library Welcome page, click the "Library Resources" tab or the tree under "Library Resources" in the middle of the page.
