September Newsletter

A Message from Dr. Daniel
Students have done a phenomenal job getting reacclimated to face-to-face instruction. September has brought us exciting news. We are pleased to announce that we are one of the 12 Fulton County Schools that has increased their 2020 SAT scores! We will strive to continue this outstanding achievement in the 2021 administration, as well.
The District has shared a proposal for McClarin to become a Middle College. This will provide students with additional opportunities for high school graduation and post-secondary careers. Please stay tuned for further information on the Middle College plan. In addition, we will begin hosting a Food Pantry in our Parent and Family Resource Center beginning October 1st. Your input and feedback is invaluable. Please do not hesitate to let us know what support(s) you need as our goal is to provide you with the resources necessary to be successful as a staff member, student, or parent/guardian.

Lunch & Learn with Omegas
On Thursday, September 16, the Eta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted its first monthly Lunch and Learn mentoring program for the 2021-2022 school year. The program was entitled "Omega Manhood Leadership Institute" (O.M.L.I.). During this introductory event, the young men of Frank McClarin High School enjoyed pizza and soda. In addition, they gained a deeper understanding of how the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. can help prepare them for college, careers, as well as mentorship opportunities. The "Omega Manhood Leadership Institute" will be hosted monthly and is available to all young men at McClarin High School.
