3/31: Elective sheets due to elementary buildings
4/15: Science and Social Studies Honors applications are due at SMS
5/24: 5th Grade Walk Around, 6:00-7:00
8/17: Schedule Pick-Up, 2:00-6:00
8/18: Schedule Pick-Up, 10:00-1:00
8/22: 6th Grade Meet and Greet, 6:00-7:00
8/24: 1st Day of School

If Art or PLTW is a student's first choice, students will be randomly selected for these courses.
6th grade honors science and social studies application process
New Full Year Elective Offering for 2016-17: PLTW (Project Lead the Way)
New for 2016-17. This course will be offered as a full year elective choice for 6th graders who have an interest in engineering and technology. Students will use the design process to explore topics including computer aided 3D design, mechanical systems, and automation through programming. This full year course is only offered at the 6th grade level. A maximum of thirty 6th grade students will be able to take this course. Students are randomly selected. If a student takes this course as a 6th grader, they can move into an exploration course as a 7th grader or choose to take band, choir or orchestra.

*each class will cover grade level standards and teachers will differentiate accordingly to meet the expectations of the Indiana grade level standards.
