What is Classical Conversations?
Classical Conversations supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families. We believe there are three keys to a great education: Classical, Christian, and Community.
A christian classical homeschool approach to education trains a child in the natural trivium stages of learning. The classical model divides the learning process into three stages: grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric. In the grammar stage, children devour facts. In the dialectic stage, children ask many questions as they sort and evaluate these facts. In the rhetoric stage, teenagers synthesize their knowledge and apply it.
What is Challenge A?
Challenge A offers many opportunities for students 12 years old and up to develop good study habits and to apply themselves in the skills of research, writing, memorization and presentation. The program offers a full course load of six subject areas: Math, Latin, Science, Literature, Geography and Rhetoric. Students study at home under the guidance of their parents and then come to seminar once a week ready to discuss their subjects, share papers, make presentations, solve problems, and hear ideas from their peers and their mentor.
