Music: Prior to any musical or performance, it's helpful to sit down with your ensemble and create some SMART goals for your production! When rehearsals are difficult, coming back to these shared goals is a great way to reestablish the "Why" and recommit to the task!
Computer/Tech: Computer skills, like the number of words students can type per minute, are absolutely goals kids can crush! Programs like TypingClub help kids reach measurable and time-bound goals with keyboarding skills. Ask your students what their goals are for January with keyboarding. Ask them to get specific about the modules they want to complete.
PE: We know goals are central to success in athletics! Practice setting goals with your PE classes. With older kids, let them set their own goals for the class (e.g. "How many times can you dribble the basketball in a row? What goal can you set?")
