5th Grade + Mid High Game Night
All 5th graders are invited to join the Middle Schoolers for Game Night on Friday, March 23rd, from 7:00 - 10:00 pm. The cost is $5 which includes pizza. This is a super fun event and is a great opportunity for the kids to get a sneak peak at all the fun that is waiting for them as they move up to Middle School at the end of this school year. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Hobart.
Easter Bunny Brunch
OLCC,P families and friends are invited to join us in Heritage Hall on March 24th from 10:00 - 12:00 for our traditional Easter Bunny Brunch. We'll have crafts, games and lots of treats and will finish up with an Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn. Don't forget to bring your Easter baskets! Peeps catapulting anyone?
We'd love to know if you're coming. Please RSVP HERE!
Palm Sunday - Noisy Offering and Fish Boxes
Next Sunday, March 25th, is Palm Sunday. The children will be meeting together in Heritage Hall to do our traditional processional with palm fronds at the beginning of the service. The children will also be bringing their fish boxes and depositing them in baskets at the front of the church.
If you have a child who would like to help with the noisy offering, please sign up at the link below.
Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday, we have a different format for our OLCC,P Kids. Please bring them straight to their small group rooms prior to the start of service. The kids will be meeting with the Small Group Leaders to discuss what they would like to purchase through the Presbyterian Giving Catalog using the money they bring in through the Fish Boxes and Noisy Offering. After a short opening, the kids will all join together in the large group room for worship and their lesson and then will return to their small group rooms for enrichment activities. You may pick them up after church in their classrooms.
Finding Peace in the Madness
If you have boys who like sports, then you might be hearing them discussing "brackets" and "major upsets" over the past week. March madness is in the air - or so it seems. However, in our next unit beginning March 25th, we're talking about how to not fall into anger and let it ruin things but to turn to PEACE as a way to good relationships with others and with God.
Read the Orange Scripture
Each week, one of the elementary children participates in the service by reading a (usually) short scripture related to our lesson that week. If your child is interested in reading, please contact Jane Snyder.
Support the Donut Table
Many of our children enjoy the donut holes, cookies and lemonade each week. The gathering committee needs help setting up and cleaning up each Sunday. There is a signup in the Lakeview Area. Also, if your children enjoy eating the goodies, please consider dropping a donation in the basket to help pay for them - or ask your children to bring in some allowance to donate!
Usher or Greet
If your child enjoys helping out, the Deacons always welcome new Greeters (who stand at the door and say 'Hi' as people come in) and Ushers (who stand at the sanctuary doors and pass out bulletins). If you are able to arrive 15 minutes early for a service, consider signing up in the Lakeview area.
About Us
Our goal is to teach children how to live a Christian life in a fun, creative way based on Biblical principals and the example that Jesus gave us.
