COVID TESTING
LPS Staff, Students and Families: Voluntary Covid PCR testing will be offered every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Riker Hill Media Center. APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED. The District is partnering with BacktoWork Solutions which offers the highest quality PCR testing available at no out-of-pocket-expenses and has a quick 24-48 hour turnaround. Testing is a 2-step process: Step 2: Follow email instructions to print out testing prescription and make a testing appointment.

Just a few reminders……
ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM
If your child(ren) is not feeling well, please keep them home.
While our region remains in a moderate risk matrix:
Any student that has 2 or more second tier symptoms or 1 primary tier symptom is considered presumptive for COVID 19 and will need to get a PCR test. A negative result will allow a return to school. Siblings of such students will also need to remain home. (even if they are not exhibiting symptoms)
***PCR tests are required when symptomatic ****
Second tier symptoms are: runny nose/congestion, headache, sore throat, muscle aches, chills, nausea/vomiting, stomachache/diarrhea, fever greater than 100.4F
Primary tier symptoms are: cough, difficulty breathing , shortness of breath, new loss taste/smell.
Quarantine for a confirmed positive COVID 19 individual is 10 days from the test date or start of symptoms, returning on day 11 as long as the individual is feeling well enough to engage in activity.
Quarantine for a direct contact (as long as this individual can isolate from the confirmed case) is 10 days from last exposure, returning on day 11 OR 7 days, returning on day 8; if this individual tests on day 5,6 or 7 from last exposure & receives a negative test result
Direct contacts are defined as being unmasked, unvaccinated and less than 3 feet for 15 mins or longer.
Students will need to be 24 hr fever free (elevated temp is 100.4F or greater) without the use of fever reducing medications prior to returning to school.
Students will need to be 24hr from any episodes of vomit or diarrhea prior to returning to school.
