Intersession Assignments: Be sure to collect scholar's Winter Intersession assignments and assign points for Habits of Success.
Instructional Strategy: Please note that Instructional Strategy meetings will take place on Thursday this week, not Tuesday.

Reporting an Absence
In the event of an absence, staff must text the principal by 6:00 am that morning. They must also text their academy leader to report their absence. Staff members must text the principal and their academy leader by 2:00 p.m. on the same day to indicate if they are returning to work the next day. Failure to follow the procedure may result in loss of wages for the day. All employees are required to log in to their Purely HR account and submit the day or days absent.
If a personal day is submitted in Purely HR, the staff member is expected to remind the principal and academy leader the day before the scheduled day off.

This week in wellness
This Week In Wellness
“Caring for yourself is not indulgence, its self-preservation.”
-Audre Lorde
Another Annual Staff Wellness Retreat in the books! Based on feedback from staff, who:
· “Felt nurtured and appreciated”
· “Thoroughly enjoying themselves” and
· “Wanting to talk about money all day”
· Enjoyed workshops that “aligned with their vision boards and intentions for 2020”,
And workshop facilitators complimenting on “super high vibrations” and “ staff buy-in” who “worked really hard” it seems to have been a success.
Thank you, Team GLA for your active engagement and participation. And special thanks to Ms. Martinez, Mr. McNeil and his staff, Ms. Anderson, Ms. Marcus, Ms. Tyler and Ms. Snyder for all of your help and support.
As you kick off the January to June push, let’s continue striving towards wellbeing. Remember what Ashley Fox told us:
Not “I think” –
I am.
I will.
I must. –
There is no choice.
You got this.
You deserve this.
You can do it.
