Organic Kids LA – March Menu & News

Teacher Research Request

As part of her professional development, Reading Support Teacher Laila Taslimi is taking an online course through Stanford University called Constructive Classroom Conversations. She is learning how to improve students’ abilities to engage in conversations in order to learn and show learning. The research calls for sampling and transcribing student to student conversation, and Ms. Taslimi may wish to include a short sample of your child’s conversations. She will remove any and all information from the transcription that could be used to identify a child. If you do not wish your child’s conversation data to be included in Ms. Taslimi's coursework, please contact her at

Family Read-Alouds: One Mom’s Appreciation and a Party

You’re building the habit! Check out the Family Read Aloud Celebration bulletin board in the main hallway to see what books families have shared. Also, read Upper parent Robin Schorr’s beautiful reflection on her family’s years of enjoying great books together.

And keep on reading to your children!
