Professor in Dermatology
Dr. Robert M. Lavker is currently Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern and Director of Dermatology Research. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Delaware and his PhD training at Clemson University. He also received an honorary Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship training at the Boston University School of Medicine, where he subsequently served as an Assistant Professor. In 1976, he joined the faculty at University of Pennsylvania where he was promoted to Professor and served as Director of Research for their Department of Dermatology. He is the author of over 150 papers, reviews and chapters related to dermatological research. Dr. Lavker is the 5th recipient of the Albert M. Kligman/Philip Frost Leadership Award.

Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine
University of California, San Diego
Sheila Friedlander, M.D, is a pediatric dermatologist with subspecialty training in infectious diseases. She treats children with both congenital and acquired skin conditions, and is particularly interested in cutaneous infections, as well as pediatric vascular lesions. She has published more than 70 scholarly texts, and serves as an advisor on numerous national committees. She is currently a Skaggs Clinical Research Scholar at the Scripps Research Institute, and is cited in "Best Doctors in America.
