6th Grade Science just finished our first unit on science safety. This lesson addresses science safety in the classroom as well as setting up the science notebook. Students need to
know how to use safety equipment in order to conduct indoor lab and outdoor field investigations safely. Other classroom organizational management tools and activities may also be introduced at this time.
The students will begin our next unit comparing metals, nonmetals, and metalloids using physical properties such as luster, conductivity or malleability on Monday, August 29th. Students will develop an investigation to compare the properties of elements and their location on the Periodic Table.Social Studies - Mrs. Phifer
Social Studies: We are learning about the importance of geography and the role it plays in history. Students have vocabulary in their folders that will be due Friday, Sept. 2nd.
Information will come soon on our Galveston Science Trip!!
