What does your system do?

The female reproductive system is made to carry out many functions. It produces the female egg cells which are needed for reproduction. Those are called the ova or oocytes. The female reproductive system is designed to move the ova to the place of fertilization. The system is also designed to menstruate, which is the monthly shedding of the uterine lining. The female reproductive system also produces female sex hormones that maintain the reproductive cycle.
