Book Fair A Success!
The Fall Book Fair was a success. We should be able to buy more of the collaboration chairs that we bought from the spring's book fairs revenues. We will have another book fair in May. All proceeds from book fairs are currently going towards the library transformation.
Our next book fair will be in May 2015.
New Furniture
One of the main things our library needed was new furniture. Most of our lounge furniture is over ten years old. We were able to purchase two collaboration chairs with some of the profits from the spring book fair. These chairs add a lot of flexibility to our library space.
Think Tank Update
Think Tank is up and running. So far, participating students have made balloon animals and have experimented with simple circuits by creating greeting cards with LED lights that light up.
Think Tank has been on the first and last Tuesday of every month. It will be changing to the second and last Tuesday of every month starting this month.
Our next Think Tank will actually be Friday, October 17, 2014. We will be creating glow in the dark slime.
The last Think Tank session in October will be a cool Day of the Dead Candle Magnet.
Fine & Overdue Notices
Overdue and Fine notices were sent out this week through reading teachers. Please have your students check their lockers and rooms and get overdue books turned in as soon as possible.
