August Re-Cap
I hope you are all off to a good start this school year. I definitely enjoyed our first character education class!! Let’s recap what we talked about,
1-5
We talked about being responsible. We discussed what ways we could show that we are responsible. We read a story called What if everybody did that? And learned why its important that we are responsible for own actions. We also got meet Spikey!!! Mrs. Aldridge’s gorilla puppet who loves kids and loves helping them.
6-8
We talked about responsibility as well. We discussed internal and external locus of control. We learned that there are something things that we can control and there are some things that are beyond our control. We also discussed personal and social responsibility. What things are responsible for in our homes? In our communities? We discussed how important it is very everyone to do their part.
What’s coming up in September?
Next month’s topic is Conflict Resolution. Do you and your siblings argue and fight sometimes? Of course not! But in case you do we’re going to talk about what conflict is and ways to deal with it. We also discuss whether not conflict is a good or bad thing.
