This Week in S-3
This week we celebrated our annual Doyle Day. The children can tell you about some amazing local members in our community. These individuals talked to the children about celebrating their creativity and following their dreams.
Just a reminder, next week we will have Avenue of the Arts on Wednesday evening. All first graders must attend. There will be more information to follow. We have been practicing like crazy for this performance. If your child has a speaking part please read it over with him/her as many times as possible. We're going to try for memorization if if we can. I will be sending an email link with the words to the song. All students should be reading the words several times daily.
Down on the farm!
This week you will receive a permission slip to attend our big first grade trip to a working colonial farm! Please fill out the permission slip and return it ASAP. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please fill out the chaperone form and return it. I will put all the interested parent names into hat and select the first 5 drawn to be chaperones. Good luck!
Avenue of the Arts
Our school performance and showcase of the students' art work will take place this Wednesday. Students are required to attend the evening performance. Please invite friends and family. You will want to have your cameras ready. This is an absolutely adorable performance. Mr. Bolkus will be sending exact information early next week. I believe that first grade goes on stage at either 6:00 or 6:30.
Last week we celebrated Tyler! This kid is awesome! When he's not playing with his neighbors or eating wings, he's spending time in Canada or Utah with his family! He loves reading Harry Potter and anything mathematical is right up his alley. I especially love Tyler's fun personality and his sense of humor. We love having him in the S-3 family.
