Overview of Holocaust

The Holocaust is the persecution & killing of Jews & people who were not the Aeron race by the Nazis' that was state sponsored. Adolf Hitler was the primary leader of the Nazis'. Hitler had this vision of a perfect world with only one race. He acted on this vision on a sick, sadistic way by persecuting anyone who wasn't the Aeron race (people with blond hair & blue eyes). This persecution was later called the Holocaust.

Definition/Background Information

Allied forces are the people that came to help Jews escape from the Nazis' control. These allied forces included Great Britain, France, Soviet Union, U.S. & China. France helped by sabotaging Germans & creating a network to help free Jews. Great Britain helped by shutting down a concentration camp on April 15. The Soviet Union helped by making Germans surrender in November 1942 by creating a massive counteroffensive against the Germans. Those are just some examples of some allied forces & how they helped in the Holocaust.

Quote

"The army fought as part of the soviet forces that defeated the German army at the battle of Kursk in July 1943." - Kevin A. Mahoney. This quote is talking about the people of the Soviet nation early on later joining the Soviet Forces as an allied force. They then went on to defeat the German army in a battle. This was important because one of the allied forces had the German army which was way larger and much more organized then them.
