"Come Back and Feast at the Table of the Lord"
Jenni Rollins gave an excellent lesson on reaching out to those who are lost.
The day after Howard W. Hunter became President of the Church, he extended this loving invitation to Church members: "To those who have transgressed or been offended, we say, come back. To those who are hurt and struggling and afraid, we say, let us stand with you and dry your tears. To those who are confused and assailed by error on every side, we say, come to the God of all truth and the Church of continuing revelation. Come back. Stand with us. Carry on. Be believing. All is well, and all will be well. Feast at the table laid before you....and strive to follow the Good Shepherd who has provided it. Have hope, exert faith, receive--and give--charity, the pure love of Christ."
President Hunter's invitation is for all of us, whether we consistently attend church or haven't been for some time. We never know who is "lost" and in need of a kind word, a smile, a helping hand, or an invitation. He continues, "seeking after the lost, the wayward, and the straying is the Lord's business....The prayerful plea of Alma is a good reminder of the sacredness of our task: 'O Lord, wilt thou grant unto us that we may have success in bringing [souls] again unto thee in Christ. Behold, O Lord, their souls are precious.' (Alma 31:34-35)."

The visiting teaching message for June is "Temple Ordinances and Covenants." Remember the challenge to visit with your sisters in their homes, or in person, during the month of June.
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Household Projects for Pam Deakins
Sister Deakins has a list of household projects she could use some assistance with over the next few weeks. Most of these projects will take only about an hour or so, so if you have some time and are willing to help, please give her a call at 540-621-9978.
Missionary Luncheon
Our ward has been asked to help with a missionary luncheon at the Stake Center on July 5th. We are in need of sisters to decorate tables, help prepare food, bake cakes, and be at the luncheon to set up, serve, and assist with clean up. We are looking for more volunteers. Please sign up HERE.
Family History Center Volunteers
The Richmond Stake is in need of adult volunteers to serve as Family History Center workers. The Family History Center is open Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Sat from 9:30 to 2:00, and Wed and Thur evening from 7:00 to 9:00. You do not need to commit to a weekly work schedule, as substitutes are needed who can work on occasion as required. Training will be provided, but workers should have some knowledge of researching using Family Search. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve both member and non-member patrons of the Family History Center by helping them do their family history research and prepare ancestors for temple ordinances. Please contact Sister Jody Raab, Family History Center Director, at raab37@comcast.net.
Thank you for your service!
