Monday, we will describe the process that matter goes through to change from a solid to a liquid and then to a gas. At each phase, we'll discuss how the matter gets its shape, how fast the molecules are moving, how adding heat effects it, and list examples. Tuesday, we'll reverse the process and outline how matter can change from a gas to a liquid and then to a solid. The students will discover how decreasing the heat or increasing the cold will effect the state of the matter. Wednesday, we'll learn the difference between a physical & a chemical change. Students will also complete their Matter Review., and then we'll go over the correct answers. Friday, the students will take their Matter Post-Test. Thursday & Friday, they'll also be participating in a few hands-on experiments & activities to see how temperature effects molecule movement and a change in the phase of matter.
