How to Register Athletes and Judges

Registration opens April 1st. Click THIS REGISTRATION LINK and use your IJRU account credentials to set up your club and roster if you have not done so previously. Under the "Find Events" section, you will see the Jump rope BC Provincials. Choose to attend that. A non-refundable flat fee of $10 per athlete should also be submitted to JRBC by May 8th. Athletes must be registered by the coach or team manager under the umbrella of the club.

In order to register your athletes and judges in the registration portal, you will first need to have an IJRU account. Once that is set up, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Although registration is due by May 8th, athletes will not upload videos until they receive an upload link from JRBC and will have until May 15th to upload their video submissions. Videos must follow the submission guidelines located below.

Judging Quota and Registration

For the JRBC Virtual Provincial Tournament

Judges must be RSC members in good standing and be level 2 certified in the judging discipline they are judging. Refer to the IJRU Judging Nomination Requirements

Judging will take place starting June 4th.

Clubs should register judges in the registration program. It is important that all clubs register judges. There is an update to the judging app for the tablets. Information on how to perform this update can be found HERE. Judges will be required to use tablets to judge freestyle.

How to Make Payment

  1. Send payment via Interac e-transfer to: bcjumprope@gmail.com

** Note: Payment should be made by CLUB, not individual and should include a memo indicating the club name and that it is intended for the JRBC Provincials.

Provincials T-Shirts

Leah and Abby have sent out information regarding optional T-Shirts. The cost of these shirts will be above and beyond the $10 tournament registration fee.

Video Submission Guidelines

The video submission guidelines for the Provincial Championships will be exactly the same as those for the IJRU Virtual World Championship. This will allow athletes to use the same video for both events, should they choose to do that. View the video recording and submission guidelines to learn about the camera settings and video requirements for all event submissions. Judges will not award points for any skills or speed steps/multiples that are completed if a member of the team is outside of the field of view. These guidelines will help ensure that we are able to clearly view the athletes and properly judge all submissions. We may update the recommendations, so please check back regularly for the most recent tips for video submissions.

All athletes will need to stand in front of the camera and show the IJRU 2021 Confirmation Code to verify the video submission. You can print out the code or show a digital version from a phone or tablet. This code must be visible in any videos uploaded for the Jump Rope BC Provincial Championship.

Updated Rules for Virtual Competition

It will be very important to review the updated rules for virtual competition. This includes changes to space regulations and new information regarding interactions. The weighting of the different judging categories (difficulty, presentation etc) has changed)
