Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has been very busy with a variety of activities. Across the school we have been celebrating Maths week including a times tables Rockstars competition. On Tuesday Saturn class took part in an online Viking workshop where they were able to talk to Vikings and ask them questions about their lives. Wednesday saw the whole school stop and remember with two minutes silence at 11:00. Several children had Remembrance art work shared across the Tadcaster benefice in an online service. On Thursday all of the Key stage two classes were able to take part (separately!) in an anti-bullying workshop based around internet safety and cyberbullying in preparation for anti-bullying week next week. Finally, today has seen us focusing on World Toilet day with everyone wearing blue. I have had lots of entries for the poster competition and children have shown a real interest in Wateraid, one of our chosen charities for this school year.
As always, we aim first and foremost to keep everyone in school safe. Please can I remind you to keep your distance from other families in the playground and on our site as we are starting to notice that social distancing gaps are narrowing as parents are collecting after school.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

- Income Support;
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance;
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance;
- Support under part six of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999;
- The guarantee element of Pension Credit;
- Child Tax Credit, provided you are also not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual household gross income that does not exceed £16,190 (as assessed by HMRC); or
- Working Tax Credit run-on, paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit.
If your family circumstances change, you may become eligible. Please see the North Yorkshire website below for more information and to access the relevant application forms.
