From Nurse Kelly
1. Kindly pack an extra outfit for your student to keep in their locker, just in case. Students of all ages spill during lunch, fall in puddles, and have other types of accidents.
2. If your child has a fever or is vomiting, they must remain at home for a minimum of 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting or when the fever has subsided. Also, please keep in mind that just because they are no longer vomiting or running a fever---they still may to stay home to recover.
3. There are many viral illnesses currently circulating in Lucas County (RSV, Influenza, COVID, and Strep Throat) We are making every attempt to keep all of our students healthy and in school! If your student is ill or sent home ill, don't hesitate to contact our School Nurse with questions. If your student is sent home with a COVID Test Kit or a Request For Treatment form, please assist us by using the proctored COVID Test Kit or by following up with your child's healthcare provider. Please reach out to Nurse Kelly with any questions!
4. As colder weather is upon us, coats, hats, and mittens are in order for playground activities. If you need any additional winter clothes including coats, hats, gloves, boots, and other warm items please contact our School Counselor, Ms. Kalo at NatalieKalo@springfield-schools.org and we would be happy to help out!
Happy Holland Days- December 3rd, 2022
