About the book!
One day Clay Jensen came home from school and there was a box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside the box, was several tapes recorded by Hannah Baker one of his classmate and crush. She committed suicide two weeks earlier. On the tapes, Hannah explained the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay was one of them. He listened to the tapes to find out how he made the list. After he listened to the tapes he was given a map that was marked with different locations. Connections!
I think my book relates to Eros and Psyche. In Eros and Psyche,Eros is in love with Psyche and in Thirteen Reasons Why Clay is in love with Hannah. Also,Psyche goes into a depression and so does Hannah. Both have to do with boys. In Psyche and Eros,Psyche is given tasks to complete and in the book Clay is given the task to listen to the tapes and pass them on.Last,Aphrodite gave Psyche the tasks to teach her a lesson about life and expieriences and Hannah made the tapes to teach everyone involved with her death a life lesson.
Review....
Thirteen Reasons Why is probably one of my favorite books at the moment because it really made me think about how words and actions hurt, and people need to watch what they say and do. Also i would recommend it to girls because it is about a high school girl, and i would rate it a 5 out of 5.
