Southview Public School
January 8th - January 12th
Welcome Back!
Bring on 2018!
Welcome back everyone! We hope that you’ve had the time to read a good book, spend time (likely indoors as of late) to be with family and friends, enjoying more time to sleep in and had PJ days (in your own home!). We also hope you’ve taken the time to rest and recharge after a busy fall! Time at home is so refreshing and energizing, yet I always look forward to the routine and getting back to the stduents (some of who have been anxiously excited to get back to see us). Even today at the arena, I had a parent chat with me about what a great school Southview is, and how her children are so happy. This parent said, “and the staff is just amazing”. So coming back to work with amazing people in a positive and dynamic environment also helps to get us back in the swing of things! I find that January is a great time to reset, think about what has made the fall so great, and where we want to continue to go in the next couple of months. A new beginning to the year means thinking about new ideas to try with your students, or what “one thing” you may wish to revisit now that we know our students so well. So thank you for bringing your best every day, for the incredible students in front of you. My latest read, “Kids Deserve It”, has been a great reminder of the many wonderful opportunities that exist for our students, because of the hard work that you put into thinking and planning for their success. So hats off to our amazing staff and we’re looking forward to finishing off our #BestYearYet in 2018!
