HSAP Open House

Please come by the office on December 10th from

11:00 - 2:00 for the HSAP Open House!

Come and enjoy hot apple cider, hot chocolate and Christmas goodies. Browse the library, enter a drawing and visit with other HSAP families. Bring the whole family!

Sunnybrook Sing ~ December 10th

Please join us as we share musical talents this Christmas season at Sunnybrook! Sarah Zihlman will lead the kids as they sing Christmas carols. Let the HSAP office know if your child would like to sing a song, play a musical instrument, or recite a poem individually. As a group, they will sing carols and in between carols they will share individual talents. If you didn't sign up on the 2nd quarter sign up sheet, call or email the office to sign up by December 2nd.

Please bring a dozen cookies to share with the residents.

(use a disposable container as we will put them together on a big platter to share)

Sarah Zihlman will lead a practice session on Thursday, December 5th at 11:00 at Calvary Baptist Church. She will provide each child with the words of the songs that they will sing so that they can practice them prior to the performance if they wish.

If you are unable to attend the practice, you may still participate on Tuesday, December 10th.

Also, Sarah is willing to accompany any student who would like to sing a song

or play an instrument.

Ice Skating

Join us at Coral Ridge Ice Arena on December 6th and enjoy an afternoon of ice skating. Skating begins at 12:00 and you are welcome to skate the entire afternoon. New this year ~ the HSAP will cover the cost for students! Cost for other family members is $5 each, which includes the skate rental. Bring your own skates if you would like! See you there!

Office Visits

The 2nd quarter office visits will continue through December 13th. After the visit be sure to browse the material we have highlighted! Your supervising teacher will contact you with a date and time for the visit.

The HSAP requirement and expectation is that we have two face-to-face contacts each quarter, as well as two other contacts. The other contacts are phone calls, emails, mailings, among other things. If we see you during enrichment, on field trips or other activities, that will count as the second in-person contact. Your supervising teacher will discuss this with you during the next visit.

6th - 12th Grade REC Center Class

During January and February Enrichment classes, the 6th - 8th grade students will be attending the REC Center for PE class. All 6th - 12th grade students are invited, even if you do not normally participate in enrichment. Class will be from 12:00 - 12:45 beginning January 7th and ending February 27th. Although consistency would be helpful, it is not required that each student attend each session. You may attend both sessions each week, only Tuesdays, only Thursdays, or whichever dates fit your schedule. Please let the HSAP office know which dates you plan to attend.

LEGO club will return in February! All 2nd - 8th grade students are welcome to attend. The HSAP plans to have some new kits available.
