Trojan Families,
This week we recognized our paraprofessionals who are a valuable resource of support for our teachers and students. Paraprofessionals work with our students in many ways. Some may work with students on supplemental enrichment activities in small groups or one-on-one. Some may help students complete assignments or practice reading and math. Many work with students with special education needs and a variety of disabilities. Regardless of the role they provide, our paraprofessionals are special to us and we appreciate all they do for our teachers and students.
The annual IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) began on Wednesday April 5 and 6. Testing will continue on April 11, 12, and 13. This assessment is required of all students in grades 3-5 and will assess students in reading and math. If possible, find time at home for your student(s) to take some practice tests; you can access those here. Please help us by making sure you have your student(s) to school by 8:20am each morning after a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and fully charged Chromebooks. Students arriving after the testing has started will not be able to sit for the test. Again, it is imperative your student(s) are on time on the days of testing.

No Dogs or Pets Allowed on School Property
There have been a number of parents voicing concern about other parents bringing dogs and/or other pets to school at drop off and pick up. We encourage everyone to be aware of the student handbook stating, "Do not bring animals to school. This includes bringing pets including dogs when dropping off or picking up your children."
Please be respectful to each other to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all. Thank you for your cooperation.
Congratulations to our March Trojans of the Month!
