Love This School!

It is hard to believe that we have been in school for almost a month. I have seen our students grow so much in this short time. The students have learned the procedures and the routines of school, and the classrooms have been alive with learning. Getting to know students has been the favorite part of each day. I am very proud of our students, and the effort they put into learning. Some students have already worked to master math facts!

Some students have asked me to listen to them read to me. The smile they have on their faces when they read was priceless! Continue to encourage your children of the importance of learning. Sit down with them and talk about their day at school, the book they are reading, the experiment they had in science, or the problems they learned to solve in math. When students see that their parents value what they are learning about at school, they will value school too.

Chromebooks and iPads

The COVID pandemic has forced schools to be more dependent on technology. Every student in grades 3-6 has been issued a chromebook, and every student in Kindergarten-Grade 2 has been issued an iPad. Parents are asked to help their Everton students to bring their electronic device to school each day fully charged. Teachers have been instructing students on the use of the many online capabilities. Students are such fast learners of technology! We have been amazed by them. Please encourage your student to take good care of their electronic devices. The deadline for the optional insurance for iPads and Chromebooks is September 22, 2020.
