College Board - National Recognition Award
Kent Island High School and Queen Anne's County High School students qualified for three of College Board's recognition programs. These awards are the National African American Recognition Program (NAARA), National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRA), and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program (NRSTA). A very well deserved congratulations to these hard-working students!

Spirit Award

BOARD ACTION ITEMS
The Board approved the Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Improvement Program for submission to the State Interagency Commission on School Construction. No fiscal impact.
The Board approved the contract with JCI/Simplex to replace the fire alarm system at SES. Fiscal Impact - $203,234.85. Budget Source - $98,714.07 from FY2023 State capital funding & $104,520.78 from FY2021 County capital funding.
The Board approved the purchase of 29 seats with the Eastern Sore of Maryland Educational Consortium (ESMEC) Blended Virtual Program (BVP). Fiscal Impact - $202,800.00. Budget Source - Unrestricted State Aid.
