Winter Party

These families signed up to bring treats for our Winter Party on Wednesday, December 23rd:

If anyone else wants to send in a treat that day you are more than welcome to just let me know! If you can no longer do what you signed up for that is also not a problem, just let me know ASAP! Thanks for all your help!!

Holiday Concert

The Holiday Concert is on Thursday, December 17th @ 6:00pm. Students need to be there by 5:30pm. They should wear their best holiday clothes.


Boys:

button down shirt

tie (regular or bow)

dress pants if possible

no jeans please


Girls:

beautiful dresses

Skirts & tops

Dressy pant outfits

no jeans please

(yes, satin or velvet dresses are appropriate)

dress shoes, sandals are great

no high heels (we are on risers,

remember-safety first)

This Week in 1st Grade:

Math: We are working on subtracting from teen numbers. We are learning startings such as counting on to subtract but also taking a ten out.


Reading: We will be performing our Reader's Theater Play- Old MacDonald's Noisy Farm this week!


Writing: We are have started learning about writing Narratives. They are similar to journal writing except that they include a problem and solution. We are also continuing to use our imaginations and write fun Christmas stories! I hope you are enjoying these coming home!


Social Studies: We are finishing up Hanukkah this week and then talking about Christmas in the US.
