Now that AIMS is over, we can get back to business. It's a crazy start to the week. I will not be at school on Monday. Mrs. Sorenson will be subbing for me. We will not have classes on Tuesday because I will be testing.
Our field trip to see "Schoolhouse Rock" is coming up fast. If you have not turned in your permission slip, please do that this week. It should be a fantastic show!
Have a great week!

This week we will be starting persuasive essay research projects on different types of renewable energy. Students will research fossil fuels and an alternative energy. Their goal is to convince the reader why their alternative energy is better than fossil fuels. Students will select a renewable energy to do research on. They can choose either wind, solar, geothermal, biomass or hydropower energy. Students will look for research to explain how the renewable resource is converted into energy. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the alternative energy? They will also explain why the resource is the best solution to our energy problems. We will also continue to work with Four Level Grammar. This is a program that is being used throughout the school to immerse children in grammar. We will spend 5-10 a day on grammar.
